Hello you lovely people! There was much to do this weekend around good ol' Columbus! With the beautiful sunshine and warm temperatures, we sure made the most of it. I just had to share a small snippet of our weekend with y'all!
Take A Ride On The Bus: We finally did it! We hopped on the new circulator bus down to the Short North on Saturday! I felt like a city gal out of place and spotted way too many crazies but the ride was snazzy! My honeybee and I swore off the Short North due to ComFest [it's not for us], but we somehow made our way to the area.
Dinner + Dessert: Once we hopped off the bus, all we could think about was eating until we couldn't breathe [okay, maybe I'm stretching the truth a little bit]. We stopped for sushi on the patio where it just so happened to pour like the dickens. Have I mentioned that it always rains here? The food was scrumptious but the rain was still pouring and of course we didn't think ahead and bring an umbrella. Silly Miss Jenna! Max and I had no choice but to make a run for the next stop: espresso and dessert! After what felt like the longest run ever, we made it. We were completely soaked and by that time, I think my white skinny jeans were more than likely sharing a little too much information. For a hot second I felt like we were back in Italy again. Espresso is my jam. I could drink it all day, every day. When we were on our honeymoon, I think I drank two or three at a time. We had the best window seat at the cutest spot where we grabbed dessert. It made for great people watching, that's for sure!
German Village Haus und Garten Tour: After living in the village for two years, we finally made our way around this years Haus and Garten Tour. On Sunday, we were able to tour twelve homes in the neighborhood. All of the homes we visited were beautiful, but there was one home in particular that made me weak in the knees. I wish I could have taken a photo to show y'all but unfortunately, photos weren't allowed. I may or may not have snuck a photo in [see above] before being scolded but I just couldn't help myself! Gray walls, white crown molding, white kitchen cabinets, gray marble countertops, and dark wooden floors. Holy swoon! If there was ever a dream home for me, that was it! Now when can we move in? Just kidding! I think I told Max five or six times to take notes within a three minute period because I was squealing the entire way through the home. Just perfect!
Can you believe July is already here? This summer is going by so quickly. Before I know it, it will be time for me to put my teacher clothes back on and head to school! Enjoy your holiday my darlings!
